HRG celebrates outstanding employees

HRG UK, the award-winning international corporate travel services company, celebrated and recognised the outstanding contribution a number of employees have made this year at its annual Thanks! Dinner.

The title of Employee of the Year was awarded to Joanna Thain, a Section Manager for HRG, based in Holborn Gate. Joanna was recognised and honoured by her peers and by the HRG Senior Executive team for her willingness to always go the extra mile for the benefit of her colleagues, her clients and the business.

Joanna has time and again taken ownership of complex challenges and using her experience and initiative has delivered excellent results that have always exceeded client expectations. In recognition of her efforts, Joanna received two return British Airways Club World airline tickets to a destination of her choice, seven nights hotel accommodation, seven days car hire, £700 spending money and a luxury hamper from Fortnum and Mason.

Joanna commented: “I was so surprised and delighted to be named HRG Employee of the Year. I never expected such an honour and I am really proud of this acknowledgement. It really makes a difference to know that your efforts are not only appreciated but also recognised by not only your peers but also the Senior Executive.”

David Radcliffe, Chief Executive of HRG commented: “I always enjoy our Thanks! Awards. It is very humbling to hear how so many of our staff do that bit extra on a regular basis for the benefit of their colleagues. I would like to extend my personal thanks to each of our winners, for their hard work, loyalty and commitment to HRG. I hope they enjoy their well deserved awards.”

Other winners included Mark Rogers, Studio Manager based in Farnborough, who was commended for his ongoing support and professionalism and ability to constantly meet exceptional deadlines with creativity and thoroughness. The second runner up was John Scott, Technical Coordinator from Glasgow for his selfless, can-do attitude to help a colleague at the eleventh hour.

The HRG Thanks! Employee Recognition scheme has been running since 1996. In that time, the company has received 1500 nominees and named 400 monthly winners.
